I was six years old when my father was killed in the Six-Day War. In the last postcard he sent us, the day before the fighting began, he wrote: “I am going out to fight for peace.”
That sentence has shaped my life ever since.
Before I am a photographer - before any title - I am someone driven by the belief that human life must stand above all else. A belief in a better world, one measured not by victory or power, but by the value it places on life.
That conviction, rooted in my childhood, runs through everything I do. It is inseparable from my activism and from my artistic practice - a world I have lived in, questioned through, and worked within for nearly four decades.
