At the end of every day, our memories are often cast into the cellars of oblivion. Our memories consist primarily of our photographs, our documents, and our letters—everything that grounds us in our "glorious" past, as we wish to remember it. For about 20 years, alongside my photography, I have been Curating personal archives for individuals, crafting artist books that bring these memories back into the living room and into daily life. When I first began creating these volumes, a wise friend remarked: "This is the most beautiful gift for someone who has everything." Over time, I refined that sentiment: This is the most wonderful gift for anyone.
