At the end of every day, our memories are often cast into the cellars of oblivion. Our memories consist primarily of our photographs, our documents, and our letters - everything that grounds us in our "glorious" past, as we wish to remember it. For about 20 years, alongside my photography, I have been Curating personal archives for individuals, crafting artist books that bring these memories back into the living room and into daily life. When I first began creating these volumes, a wise friend remarked: "This is the most beautiful gift for someone who has everything." Over time, I refined that sentiment: This is the most wonderful gift for anyone.
